Safety Jaden Mangham is changing sides in the Michigan-Michigan State rivalry.
The 6-foot-2, 191-pounder, who entered the NCAA transfer portal April 30, announced his commitment to the Wolverines on Friday in a post on social media.
Michigan has bolstered its secondary with three defensive back transfer portal additions in the past two days, but Mangham might be the biggest name of the bunch.
The former four-star recruit out of Birmingham Groves appeared in 20 games in two seasons for the Spartans and took over a full-time starting role in 2023. He finished with 53 tackles and a team-high four interceptions in 11 games.
Mangham, who has two more years of eligibility remaining, is expected to compete for a starting safety role in Ann Arbor. Three-year starter Rod Moore suffered a serious injury during spring practice and could miss most, if not all, of the 2024 season. Fellow starting safety Makari Paige also …
