Wait for It’Flying Humpback’ Shocks Whale Watchers [Video]

Some whale watchers off the coast of San Diego witnessed the breathtaking moment a humpback whale breached right by their boat. The “flying humpback” stunned not only the people who witnessed in person but also the people who saw the video online.

A whale watcher who goes by @jetlagleah on Instagram captured the footage from the boat that day and shared it as part of her promotional video for the whale-watching company. Clinton Kyle Christensen was also on the boat, and he also shared a clip of the flying humpback.

“This breach was too good not to share,” Christensen said. “@jetlagleah was rolling iPhone footage when this humpback absolutely launched itself out of the water!”
