Vote will decide possible funding for new Agawam High School [Video]

AGAWAM, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Residents in Agawam have a big decision to make on Tuesday. Will they vote for a property tax override to help fund a brand new high school?

“If they chose to update it instead of replacing it it’s going to have to be replaced eventually anyway,” said Kayla Casamento, an Agawam high school graduate.

Agawam may soon be getting a new high school and leading up to the vote we heard from people both for and against a new building, but we wanted to hear from those who are affected the most so we spoke with a former student to get her take.
