Thousands of Twitter users report problems as outage hits X | UK News [Video]

Thousands of frustrated X users (formerly Twitter) have been left scratching their heads after an outage.

Everything appeared business as usual on the social media platform – until thousands of reports of problems accessing the mobile app.

Tracking website Downdetector logged more than 18,000 reports after the outage hit shortly before 9pm.

One user wrote: ‘X is down. Nice on [Elon] Musk.’

Users took to social media – on X – to joke about the outage, with one asking ‘When Twitter is down, where do you go to find out if Twitter is down.’

The desktop website for the social media site appeared to be working.
