TACTYC Studio Reimagines a Mountain Valley for Kleinwalsertal Rebrand – Motion design [Video]

Munich’s TACTYC Studio, whose sleek films for Michael Kors we featured in Stash 164, shifts gears from fashion to tourism in this ambitious work showcasing the recent rebrand of the spectacular Austrian alpine valley of Kleinwalsertal.

Tristan Fischer, managing director/AD at TACTYC Studio: “After more than two decades, Kleinwalsertal bid farewell to the Edelweiss flower in their brand identity and welcomed the imposing and iconic mountain ‘Ifen’ in their new logo.

“To showcase this new logo, we had the idea to build surrealistic animations inside of environments close to reality. The goal was to keep the peaceful and beautiful nature of Kleinwalsertal, but to form parts of it in fictional ways in order to hint at the logo.

“The biggest challenge of the project was building the environments. At first, we asked Vorarlberg (the province of Austria to which Kleinwalsertal belongs) to deliver us some geodata of the mountain. This data was very precise and …
