Syracuse.com, Post-Standard are the top winners in NY news publishers awards [Video]

Syracuse.com and The Post-Standard were the top winners in the New York News Publishers Association 2023 Awards of Excellence.

The Advance Media New York content, marketing and advertising teams won 20 awards, more than any other publisher in New York. The marketing and advertising teams won six awards, with creative campaigns on such varied topics as regional airports and lead-poisoning awareness.

The newsroom took 14 journalism awards, also more than anyone in the state, on topics that include Micron Technology’s plans, a child’s murder and the documentary on the 2003 Syracuse University men’s basketball team’s NCAA championship run. The group gives only first-place awards.

Syracuse.com also won more awards than any newsroom in the 2022 awards.

The journalism winners are:

Glenn Coin, Distinguished Beat Reporting for his coverage of the Micron Technology project, as well as the Upstate New York environment and weather.
