Survey on contested Caldwell parking meters now open [Video]

The survey addresses several topics, including overnight parking in the downtown area, accessible parking and parking meters.

CALDWELL, Idaho — The Caldwell parking meters has been a talking point at several city council meetings and as a way to help the community voice their opinions, a survey was released on social media on Thursday.

Diana Register, Caldwell City Councilwoman posted on Facebook stating, “After receiving feedback from downtown business owners, and community members about downtown parking, this survey is being circulated by City Council to get even more feedback on how to address the continued downtown parking problem.”

“The suggested boundaries for timed downtown parking are: Cleveland to the south side of Albany from 5th to 10th. These questions are related to street parking, as city lots would remain untimed,” Register added. 

Other topics on the survey include overnight parking, car storing and accessibility.
