It’s no secret: the bike industry has faced tough times. The pandemic boom saw skyrocketing demand, but as the world has settled, so too has the market. Brands are grappling with oversupply, tight margins and shifting budgets. For riders like Remy, this means sponsorship deals are getting smaller and expectations are higher. “Marketing budgets have been slashed,” he says. “Athletes and creators are expected to deliver more for less and the competition out there is fierce.”
