SLOCOMB, Ala. (WDHN) — The Slocomb community, school staff, and friends lined up on both sides of Highway 52 to show their love and support welcoming Rylan Cobb back home after she passed away Tuesday in Birmingham from battling injuries from a car crash last weekend.
“We have an awesome community, a lot of parent support and business support I was proud to see all of the people line up and welcome her home,” said Shan Hales, a Slocomb Elementary Kindergarten teacher said. “She was a great person and I know she would be proud.”
Before she passed, Rylan Cobb, her father, and her two siblings were injured in a head-on car crash on Highway 167 near Geneva County Road 9 late Saturday night. Her mother, Tiffany Cobb, also died at the scene of the crash.
