Sandhills lodging option makes you feel right at home [Video]

DUNNING, Neb. (KOLN) – During a visit to the community of Dunning, we learned about Brando’s Bunkhouse, and about the longhorn steer the business is named after.

Linda Teahon is the operator of the bunkhouse. “I grew up in this area, graduated from Halsey-Dunning and left for years,” Teahon said. “About seven years ago I came back, and I was looking for a business opportunity. I felt there was a need for lodging options in Dunning and Blaine County. This property became available a year after I moved here. I bought it, and since then, we’ve been improving the property, and I’m getting busier and busier all the time.”

Teahon says she sees people from all over the U.S. staying at the bunkhouse. “Mainly it’s by word of mouth,” Teahon said. “I do have a Facebook presence, but I’m not associated with any bed and breakfast groups. It’s local people …
