SA city funds to go to art exhibit in Mexico [Video]

SAN ANTONIO — $100,000 are heading to Queretaro, Mexico to fund an exhibit titled “Al Otro Lado del Espejo,” which translates to “The Other Side of the Mirror.”

The exhibition, set to begin in September will feature 15 San Antonio artists, poets and storytellers.

“This is giving 15 San Antonio artists an opportunity to showcase their work internationally, which broadens their professional development opportunities, but also gets people excited about coming to San Antonio,” said Krystal Jones, Executive Director with the city’s department of arts and culture.

Last year, the San Antonio International Airport added direct flights from San Antonio to Queretaro, Mexico. Queretaro also shares a history with San Antonio going back to the San Antonio Missions.
