Ryanair adds flights to cope with demand from Aer Lingus cancellations [Video]

Ryanair has added extra flights to and from London Stansted, Malaga and Faro airports this weekend in response to industrial action at Aer Lingus.

The knock-on effect of the work-to-rule action, and Aer Lingus’ decision to cancel 244 flights this week in response, has caused many Ryanair flights to those destinations this Saturday and Sunday (29-30 June) to sell out.

Ryanair said that “contrary to some false social media claims, Ryanair has not increased its fares in response to the Aer Lingus pilot strikes.”

In response to this demand, Ryanair is now adding two additional return flights to/from London Stansted on Saturday and Sunday, an additional two flights on the Malaga-Dublin route on Saturday and the Faro-Dublin route on Sun 30th June. 

Fares on the additional Stansted flights start at €270 one way, with fares on the Malaga flights starting at €330 one way, and on the Faro flight at €340 one way.
