In January 2024, Newark cut the ribbon for Hope Village 2, a new transitional housing community in Newark, New Jersey. RWJBarnabas Health understood the criticality of supporting Hope Village 2 in order to bolster the effort to end chronic homelessness in Newark. The System provided needed funding for furnishings for these new transitional residences, amenities for daily living and community health workers, who connect residents with needed healthcare resources.
