Roughly 8,000 Birmingham City School students are unregistered for this school year [Video]

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) —  In exactly a week, Birmingham City School students will return to class.

According to the school system, there are about 8,000 students who have yet to be registered.

School officials remind parents and guardians that registration support is available at the Lincoln Professional Development Center. The center is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

At Princeton Alternative Elementary School, Principal Bruce Jackson said all his students are registered and ready to return to class next week

From new window treatment to new books, Princeton’s 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year Dorine James wants to make sure her classroom is ready for the first day.
