Amanda is an accounting and audit educator passionate about helping students build successful careers in accounting. With a love for edtech, she creates engaging learning experiences to prepare students for a diverse and dynamic workplace.
Amanda is a strong advocate for sharing open-access, high-quality educational resources. She actively uses social media in her teaching (you can find her on Instagram), and her YouTube channel, @amandalovestoaudit features her class materials, interviews with professionals and study tips. It has over 100,000 subscribers. Her FREE textbook, Accounting and Accountability, is an innovative open resource with interactive elements, personal stories and an audiobook for flexible learning.
Her research focuses on accounting education and academic integrity, and she has been recognised by TEQSA as an academic integrity masterclass trainer. Amanda’s contributions to student learning were acknowledged with an Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT) Citation in 2017, and in 2021, she received the AAUT Teaching Excellence Award for Law, Economics, Business and related studies. She was also a runner-up for Australian Teacher of the Year.
With prior professional experience as a trainee at Coopers and Lybrand and as a Senior Consultant at PwC, Amanda has provided operational risk management to the financial services and services industries.
