Portland to weigh Keller Auditorium renovation against PSU, Lloyd Center [Video]

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – To build or not to build? That is the question Portland city leaders will consider when faced with three theater presentations Wednesday afternoon.

For months, Portland State University, Lloyd Center, and the Keller Auditorium have mapped out competing plans that each stake their claim as the city’s epicenter of performing arts and culture.

The final decision between funding the renovation of a historic building or building a brand new facility will come down to Portland City Council’s decision in July. Until then, the projects will need to share why their plan would have the greatest impact on downtown Portland – and stand up to public scrutiny.
