PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – Parkersburg District 4 held their monthly meetings this past weekend to talk about safety and community improvement.
According to Councilor Wendy Tuck from District 4, both meetings were very productive, and a lot of good conversation happened.
She said some of the highlights that came from the two meetings include:
- Speeding issues on several streets in the northside section of District 4
- Concerns about homeless people on the streets near 7th and 13th streets.
- Comments about the wages for sanitation workers.
- Meeting with Councilor-elects Zak Huffman (District 5) and Dave McCrady (District 1)
- Spreading awareness about a meeting on community grants Tuesday Nov. 26th.
Steven Bennett, a native to Parkersburg and a resident of the northside of District 4 said he’s experienced multiple incidents since buying their house in district 4 back in 2023.
