Parker charter school starts year in temporary location [Video]

PARKER, Colo. (KDVR) — Some students in Parker will not begin the school year in their brand-new facility due to construction delays. They are attending a temporary location instead.

Administrators at the Leman Academy of Excellence told FOX31 that 270 students attend the school’s pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade program.

Lindsey Gyger enrolled her child at the charter school in May.

“We are so happy about their program and their education style,” she told FOX31.

The school is building a new building that was to open in time for the beginning of the 2024 school year in mid-August but construction remains incomplete.

The school’s administration told the Problem Solvers that parents received notice that students would temporarily be taught at alternate locations and issued a statement to FOX31.
