NKY businesses plan fundraising events for mass shooting victims [Video]

FLORENCE, Ky. (WXIX) – Businesses across Northern Kentucky plan to host fundraisers for the victims and survivors of the July 6 mass shooting in Florence.

Seven people were shot around 3 a.m. at a home on Ridgecrest Drive by 21-year-old Chase Garvey, according to the Florence Police Department.

Of those seven victims, four died: 19-year-old Delaney Eary, 20-year-old Hayden Rybicki, 44-year-old Melissa Parrett, and 20-year-old Shane Miller.

The three surviving victims were taken to the hospital and are expected to be okay, police have said.

In the wake of the tragedy that shook the Northern Kentucky community, efforts to help those impacted by the mass shooting began.

Here is a look at some of the planned fundraising events:
