Newport officials said it should be done relocating by Friday. While city hall is moving, its phone system will be down.
NEWPORT, Tenn. — Newport officials said Tuesday the city hall was about to start the relocation process to move back its location at 300 East Main Street.
The city said on social media that the relocation process would start on Nov. 20, and would last until Friday, Nov. 22. While moving back to its original location, Newport City Hall’s phone lines would also be down.
Officials said on social media that staff would return any messages left while city hall relocates. It also said anyone who needs to pay property taxes can do so online, through the city’s website.
“We are excited to be back in our restored building and ask that you be patient with us as we get everything set up and running,” officials said on social media.
