Officials in Pickens County, South Carolina, will have a new tool to fix potholes after the purchase of a glass pulverizer, officials said Thursday.Pickens County has been awarded a $34,165 grant from Norfolk Southern’s Thriving Communities Grant Program to purchase the recycling equipment, officials said.”This new equipment will allow our Solid Waste department to crush glass into sand, which can be used to fill minor potholes and road patching at the landfill, helping to reduce glass waste,” officials said.
