“Texas will use every tool and strategy to stop illegal immigration,” Gov. Abbott said in a social media post.

ZAPATA COUNTY, Texas — Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday shared a video showing progress on a section of the border wall being constructed in Zapata County.

Zapata County lies on the Texas-Mexico border just south of Laredo and just northwest of Reynosa.

The part of the wall under construction in the video is being funded by the state and is on private land.

On social media, Abbott said, “The historic Texas border wall is an essential component of our mission to secure the border and protect the nation. Texas will use every tool and strategy to stop illegal immigration.”
