Elon Musk is attributing his decision to relocate the headquarters of two of his companies to Texas to a new gender identity law in California.

The legislation in question prohibits school districts from requiring teachers to inform parents when a child changes their gender identity or sexual orientation.

Musk, who has a transgender daughter, called the law the “last straw,” claiming it, along with “many others,” was “attacking both families and companies.”

Consequently, the billionaire is moving the headquarters of his social media firm X and rocket company SpaceX from Democrat-led California to Republican-led Texas.

Musk has already moved his residence and his electric car company, Tesla, to Texas, where there is no state income tax on individuals.
