KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – In honor of its 85th year, the Kansas City Museum has introduced itself now as the Museum of Kansas City with a rebrand that looks to the future.

The Museum of Kansas City announced on Thursday, Jan. 30, that in honor of its 85th year, a new name and brand identity will be embraced – Kansas City Museum is now The Museum of Kansas City.

Museum leaders indicated that the change reflects a meaningful transformation from a history museum focused on the area’s past to a city museum that embraces the humanities to explore the past, present and future.
