BUFFALO, N.Y. — M&T Bank and Junior Achievement of Western New York are teaming up to bring a hands-on learning experience to local fifth grade students. The program aims to strengthen financial literacy in the community.
On Wednesday, a group of students from Hamlin Park School in Buffalo visited the M&T Bank branch at Main and Delevan for the new, immersive financial education program. The program is designed to help young students understand key financial concepts and build confidence in managing personal finances.
Over four, 45-minute sessions, students engaged in interactive lessons that covered a wide range of topics, including how banks function, the importance of budgeting, and the basics of entrepreneurship.
