FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – Mott Community College has tentatively selected an interim president.
On Thursday the board held interviews with the five candidates. The board voted 5-2 to approve an offer to Shaunda Richardson-Snell.
Richardson-Snell currently works in finance in the Detroit area. According to her bio, she has held corporate finance jobs with General Motors, Delphi and Trinity Health.
“What I would bring are the financial accument that is so important in today’s environment,” says Richardson-Snell. “To ensure sustainability and proper appropriation and use of funds in a cost effective way.”
The board members who voted against offering a contract voiced concern about Richardson-Snell-s lack of higher education experience.
Her employment is dependent upon successful negotiation of an employment contract, which is expected to happen next week.
