MTCM Seminar Teaches Teachers at Carden Park
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Math teachers from around the northwest Missouri area met at Carden Park Elementary for professional development on Tuesday in St. Joseph.
The two day seminar is put on by the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) to help teachers hone their skills.
“Not everything we do is going to reach all learners equally if we just do it one way,” Rebecca Bailey of Oak Grove Elementary said.
“So this gives us that opportunity to really grow and learn and stretch ourselves to add more tools to our teacher tool belt. I really feel like we we leave the professional development with an excitement, and kind of refreshed and excited and ready.”
This event in St. Joseph is just one of the many stops along the way for the MCTM as they try to better math education across Missouri.
