Maine businesses support CA animal shelter follow wildfires [Video]

The group said they all contacted each other while watching coverage of the LA wildfires and wanted to help those aiding displaced animals.

BIDDEFORD, Maine — While watching the days-long coverage of the catastrophic wildfires jetting across Los Angeles County this month, a group of Mainers 2,600 miles away had a similar thought, “We can do something to help.”

Kyle Poissonnier owns Catalyst for Change Wear in Biddeford, known for supporting mental health and other charitable causes through his custom Maine-themed t-shirt sales. He said phones began lighting up.

“All of us, kind of, texted each other with the same thing,” he recalled. “And we hoped we could do something, and we hoped we could all come together and use each of our skills, abilities, reaches.”
