Word got out months ago that the restaurant would close, so customers gave Lulu’s a lot of business in hopes it would reconsider.
POWELL, Tenn. — A restaurant that has served the Powell community for almost two decades announced Wednesday it will keep its dining room doors open for “as long as they can.”
Lulu’s Tea Room first announced on social media in September 2024 that it would close its dining room doors on Jan. 17 due to the “rising cost of food, utilities, insurance and wages.” Since word got out that the restaurant would close, customers gave Lulu’s Tea Room a lot of business and a reason to keep its doors open.
