Little change for the Live Register in July [Video]

The seasonally adjusted Live Register total for July 2024 was 171,900 people, down by 100 people or 0.1% from June 2024, according to the latest statistics from the CSO.

The unadjusted Live Register total stood at 185,968 people for the 7th month of the year.

Of those on the unadjusted Live Register, 51.4% were male and 71.7% were Irish.

Commenting on today’s publication, Conor Delves, Statistician in the Labour Market Analysis Section, said: “The unadjusted Live Register total for July 2024 was 185,968.

“When seasonal effects are considered, the seasonally adjusted Live Register total for July 2024 was 171,900 or 100 fewer people than June 2024.

“There were 18,039 people benefitting from the EU’s Temporary Protection Directive included in the Live Register figures for July 2024, a decrease of 490 people from June 2024.

Of those on the unadjusted Live Register, 51.4% were male and 71.7% were Irish.
