Lindsay welcomes new high school, major developments underway [Video]

LINDSAY, Neb. (KOLN) – Students at Lindsay Academy are kicking off their second semester in a brand-new high school building, but the upgrades in Lindsay don’t stop there.

“Lindsay Academy is a brand new, faith-based 7-12 grade school,” Jenny Korth with Lindsay Area Development said. “It has all of the classes from English to Science. We have FCS, we have an FCCLA team, we’ve got career and technical education, and really most of the other amenities schools would offer.”

The school, which opened its doors in December, currently serves 47 students. Its creation followed the closure announcement of Lindsay Holy Family’s high school grades in February 2023. Determined to keep local high school education alive, the community partnered with Lindsay Area Development to bring the new school to life.
