A man accused of selling a fentanyl-laced Percocet pill causing the death of a Lansing boy changed his plea Friday to guilty.Torin Baughman, 19, pleaded guilty to distribution of a controlled substance causing death after Cruz Burris, 15, died in January 2023.“I think he’s had a lot to think about and I think he also understood the repercussions if we did go to trial,” said Andy Burris, Cruz’s father.”I think it’s unfolding the way God wanted it to unfold, how it should be unfolded to the public, we want them to know,” said Rhonda Burris, Cruz’s mother.According to court records, Cruz solicited and then bought the pill from Baughman.He took it as his friends and Baughman watched live on a social media platform with Baughman warning him to only take a little bit of it.Cruz then collapsed and died.That information was gathered after efforts by the Lansing Police Department and …
