Job fair for laid-off Mercury Marine, Charter Communications workers [Video]

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) – Dozens of companies are taking part in a job fair looking to hire some of the hundreds of workers who recently lost their jobs at Mercury Marine and Charter Communications.

The job fair is at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 31.

Fox Valley Workforce Development Board workers want to lend a hand to more than 400 people dealing with losing their jobs.

Business solutions manager Bobbi Miller with the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board says 65 companies are setting up at the job fair.

Miller says it’s a great chance to make connections, get your resume out there, and see how you can use your skill set to grow within another company.
