Irene’s Craft Kitchen and Biergarten opens in Grand Blanc | Business [Video]

GRAND BLANC, Mich. (WJRT) – A unique business is officially opened in Grand Blanc.

The Garden Building is a mixed-used facility, including food, apartments and even a golf simulator. Irene’s Craft Kitchen and Biergarten is a centerpiece of the facility, which overlooks Physician’s Park on Reid Road.

The restaurant has been a longtime dream of the Perkins family from Grand Blanc. They spent the past five years developing and perfecting their business plans.

“We were kids and we thought oh wouldn’t it be fun to start a restaurant,” said Irene’s co-owner Sara Perkins.

She and her husband, Erik, brought their dreams for the business to life.

“We’re in a place now that we wanted to do it,” Sara Perkins said. “We know that nobody’s next day is promised. Tomorrow is not promised for any of us.”
