In-N-Out Burger triggered the salivary glands of many southern Idaho fast-food aficionados with this month’s announcement that it was eyeing a Twin Falls store.
But some people have a beef with the proposed location.
The table has been set for a Tuesday planning and zoning hearing at Twin Falls City Hall will include an In-N-Out representative who will discuss the chain’s request for special use permits, an essential ingredient to its business plan.
“There is excitement for it,” city spokesman Josh Palmer said about In-N-Out’s announcement, adding that the city has been fielding regular calls about the proposal, some from people voicing concern about what it would do to traffic flow near the Perrine Bridge.
The plan calls for the chain to purchase the Outback Steakhouse location at 1965 Blue Lakes Blvd. N., raze the present building and build a new restaurant.
