Gwinnett County Schools nearly fills all positions [Video]

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — With just weeks until many school districts start the school year, some are ramping up efforts to fill open positions. However, the state’s largest school district is almost fully staffed.

JW Mozley, the Executive Director of Talent Management for Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS), said all bus driver positions had been filled as of Thursday afternoon, and just over 70 teaching positions remained open.

“We’re in a very good spot going into two weeks before the kids come back to the classroom. We have just been very intentional this hiring season of telling the story of Gwinnett County Schools of the reason prospective teachers should say yes to GSPS,” Mozley said.

Mozely added that leaning into the district’s story has become invaluable to their recruitment efforts.
