Gov. Sanders & AEDC announce 17 community grants [Video]

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On May 2, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) has awarded $8,478,624 in Community Development Block Grants to 17 Arkansas cities and counties.

These grants were provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development designed to “provide communities the opportunity to apply for a variety of non-housing public facility and public infrastructure projects.”

“When the federal government works right, in coordination with state and local experts, the results can be fantastic. The Community Development Block Grant program is a great example of state and federal collaboration,” said Gov.
