AMHERST, Wis. (WSAW) – Grit & Grace Family Restaurant, a local restaurant in Amherst, will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants in early September.
America’s Best Restaurants is a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants. It will bring its ABR Roadshow to Grit & Grace on Sept. 2.
Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owner Mandy Garske about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.
Garske purchased the restaurant from the previous owners, after being encouraged by her husband and a friend to offer to buy it and revive it.
The homey, wood-paneled interior offers a cozy ambiance and a menu of homemade comfort foods, such as broasted chicken, burgers and sandwiches, hot entrees, a full breakfast menu, and homemade desserts.
