Claxton Elementary students started the school year off in a brand-new building in Guilford County.The new 91,000-square-foot facility supports innovative teaching and includes safety and technological upgrades. “It’s great to have everyone back together again,” said Claxton Elementary Principal Kevin Thoma. “We’ve been in two schools, separated the last two years — but to bring everyone back together again is as great feeling.”The school year is off to a great start for students and teachers.”The day went as smooth as it could,” Thoma said. “Students and parents came in with excitement.
