Dua Lipa gave a behind-the-scenes peek at the reality of red-carpet fashion.
On Sunday, the singer attended the Golden Globes as both a nominee for her song “Dance the Night” from “Barbie” and as a presenter.
She wore a custom Schiaparelli dress for the occasion. The black gown had a strapless neckline, a corset bodice with ties that flowed down her legs, and a dramatic mermaid skirt.
The bodice was adorned with diamond and gold appliqué designed to look like bones, according to an Instagram post from the fashion house.
The same Instagram post said the gown paid tribute to a 1938 collaboration between Elsa Schiaparelli and Salvador Dalí.
The dress was beautiful, but as Lipa shared in an Instagram post, it wasn’t practical.
