Dolphins News: Tua Tagovailoa Finally Cleared to Start, Will Play Against Cardinals [Video]

When the Miami Dolphins take the field this weekend, they will do so with starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa ready to play. He has been cleared to play this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals after missing the past few weeks due to a concussion.

NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the news on social media about his return.

Tagovailoa had been trending to return but needed to fully clear concussion protocol before doing so. According to the Dolphins, he met all requirements by the NFL and is now ready to get back under center for his team.

He had an examination and got clearance from an Independent Neurological Consultant and was cleared following practice on Thursday. While there was some thought about retirement due to the multiple concussions that he has suffered throughout his career, no doctors that he saw recommended that route.
