A DOLLAR Tree rival is due to shut one of its locations after nearly three decades in business.

Just-A-Buck and Beyond shoppers were left heartbroken at the news after a social media note spelled out the end for one location.

The discount store announced that it would shut its branch in Kingston, New York, around 60 miles south of Albany.

This store opened in the area 27 years ago but the chain has not confirmed which day its doors would shut for good.

A sale has commenced at the Kingston location, with all items selling for $1.
