CLEVELAND — Firefighters from multiple companies spent nearly three hours battling a house fire in East Cleveland Friday night and rescued a dog from a second-floor balcony, according to the city’s fire department.

The East Cleveland Fire Department posted on social media that the fire broke out at a house on Bryn Mawr Road, with crews responding just after 9 p.m. to find “heavy fire” pushing from the home’s third floor.

“Crews made an aggressive interior attack,” the fire department said. “Crews were on scene for 2 1/2 hours battling this fire in the frigid temperatures and high winds.”

No firefighters or residents were injured, the fire department reported.
