EARLY YESTERDAY, THE BASEBALL FIELD AT SOUTH ASHEBORO MIDDLE SCHOOL WAS TRANSFORMED INTO A FIELD OF HONOR WITH ROWS OF U.S. FLAGS AS A TRIBUTE TO VETERANS. EACH FLAG HAS A VETERAN’S NAME WRITTEN ON IT, PURCHASED BY THEIR LOVED ONES, AND AT THE ACTUAL CAROLINA FIELD OF HONOR AT TRIAD PARK IN COLFAX. THERE WILL BE A PRESENTATION TOMORROW THAT STARTS AT 11 A.M. IT WILL INCLUDE A 21 GUN SALUTE AND TAPS BY THE RANDOLPH COUNTY HONOR GUARD. IN GREENSBORO, THE ANNUAL VETERANS DAY PARADE TOOK OVER DOWNTOWN YESTERDAY, TRAVELING ALONG ELM MARKET CHURCH AND LINDSEY STREETS. THE EVENT HONORS FAMILIES WHO LOST, LOVED ONES IN COMBAT.
