Country Meat Market in Tyler celebrates 70 year anniversary [Video]

The celebration continues Saturday, where the business plans to break out the brisket mac and cheese among other favorite dishes.

TYLER, Texas — An East Texas butchery is celebrating 70 years of serving the community.

The Country Meat Market held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday to mark a major milestone in the business’s history. For the past seven decades, the market has served quality meat and home-cooking to the East Texas community. 

The family-owned business celebrated with exclusive giveaways, including two tickets to Nashville to visit the Grand Ole Opry, and free food.

Country Meat Market supervisor Tom Kohler said he’s thankful to e a small part of such a successful business.
