CHESHIRE, Conn. — Stop & Shop customers across the state are going to social media citing bare shelves in several locations. The store’s parent company is reporting a cybersecurity issue and it’s impacting truck shipments.
The Cheshire Stop & Shop in the Maplecroft Plaza is one of several stores dealing with empty shelves.
“We walked in and one of the Stop & Shop employees said “good luck with your list,” said Martha Reina of Cheshire. “You could see all the empty spaces.”
It’s unclear exactly what that issue is, but many customers are leaving with lists just as long as when they walked in.
“I think produce was the worst but even meat there’s less than there normally is,” said Reina.
