TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The City of Tucson wants your input as they work to change zoning codes to allow more development in empty lots across town.
City leaders say this should allow for more housing of all types and could help bring down living costs.
It’s no secret that around town there have been more car washes and storage units popping up and that’s because current zoning codes make it easy for them to be built. But the city is working to change that to allow more diversity when it comes housing and businesses.
Planning and Development Services has been doing an analysis of zoning code to figure what needs to be changed before they bring it to the mayor and city council.
