A Louisiana Chick-fil-A restaurant is hosting a summer camp for kids — a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into the brand’s hospitality — but parents and community members are questioning the program’s value on social media.
“‘Hey parents! Pay us so we can use your kids for child labor,’” one Facebook user wrote, according to a report from Fox Business.
“Just because it’s the 20′s again doesn’t mean we should bring back child labor. It didn’t go great the last time, spoiler alert,” another poster chimed in.
The franchise, which is located in Hammond, announced intentions to open its doors to kids, ages 5 through 12, to participate in the camp which runs from July 15-17 and July 22-24. The fee is $35 per session, according to the store’s Facebook post.
