TEMPLE, Texas — As Central Texas grapples with the aftermath of a series of storms that left a trail of destruction, one veteran-owned business is stepping up to make a difference, partnering with a nonprofit to aid those impacted by the natural disaster.

Rick Maddox, owner of Texas Vet Trees and Milling, a business geared towards employing veterans, reflects on the unprecedented scale of the recent storms. “It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen,” he said, highlighting the destruction.
