MILLBURY, Ohio — Millbury residents got to explore the new Lake Elementary School for the first time on Sunday.
The 91,000 square-foot building holds two floors of classrooms, spanning Pre-K through 5th grade, according to Lake Local Schools.
It features several upgrades from the old elementary school building, including 20 additional classrooms.
The school will also have a multi-purpose ‘Cafenasium’ for breakfast, lunch, and Phys. Ed. classes. In addition, a new full-size kitchen, will eliminate the need for food to be brought over from the high school.
Over 800 students will walk its halls this school year.
